IP DECT Access Point AP300

AP300

Overview

The NEC AP300 IP DECT Access Points (AP’s) are radio base stations that provide wireless telephony to enterprise networks. They connect directly to the LAN, making dedicated cabling between radio base stations and the PBX no longer necessary. Instead, the AP’s make use of a single converged voice and data network.

IP DECT can also provide wireless telephony in a multi-site business or campus environment (platform dependent), offering the perfect solution for organisations with a main office and different branch offices, even when they are geographically spread.

You simply install IP DECT Access Points at your remote locations, forming one DECT cluster with the Access Points in the main location via the company’s network infrastructure. The load on the network can optionally be reduced by using G.729 compression to the remote location.
