Bangkok, Thailand – January 14, 2025 – The Subdistrict Administration Organization Association of Thailand, NEC Corporation (Thailand) Ltd., and HealthTech Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Pathum Thani Province to jointly develop a public health digital platform. This collaboration aims to enhance elderly and long-term patient care through advanced technology, effectively addressing the challenges of an aging society.

This partnership focuses on the development of applications and IoT (Internet of Things) systems to monitor and track the health status of elderly individuals from their homes, as well as Tele-Medicine solutions that enable patients to consult with medical specialists remotely, thereby reducing travel burdens and promoting preventive healthcare.

The benefits to communities include real-time health monitoring systems with emergency alert devices, accurate health data management, and automated medication and appointment reminders. Additionally, the platform will help alleviate the workload of village health volunteers (VHVs) and medical personnel through automated data processing and reporting, serving as a model for community care that can be expanded to other areas in the future.

This collaboration serves as a foundation for driving the creation of smart communities that utilize public health technology to foster a high-quality and equitable society, improving access to healthcare services nationwide and strengthening Thailand’s public health system for long-term sustainability.
